WINGS FOR AUTISM (OR INTELLECTUAL/DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES)nSaturday, December 3, 2016 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM nBWI Thurgood Marshall AirportnThis program allows individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder or Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities to have a practice opportunity to experience airline travel. The day will include parking and shuttling to the terminal, check-in, security, boarding the aircraft and interacting with airport personnel. Space is limited so consider carefully before you commit. nHere are the essentials you need to know:nOne child or adult with a disability, and up to two family members or companions. (Only one can board the plane). Photo ID is needed for any participant over age 18. Bring luggage to mimic the real experience.nThe Arc staff and many airport volunteers will be there to guide and assist you along the way. Registration opens on 10/3/16 at 11 am.
