THE HOWARD COUNTY COMMISSION ONDISABILITIES SEEKS NOMINATIONS FOR 2024 EMPLOYMENT AWARDS

The Commission on Disabilitieswill recognize employers and employment professionals who value disabilityinclusion and advance equal opportunities for individuals with disabilities, asevidenced by any of the following eligibility criteria:
Policies and procedures
Hiring practices
Staff training and development
Advancement opportunities
Accommodation practices
Activities designed to advancethe employment of people with disabilities
To be eligible for nomination, acandidate must be an employer or employment professional who conducts businessin Howard County. Employment professional nominees include, but are not limitedto, work supervisors, job developers, job coaches, and vocationalrehabilitation counselors. A completed nomination must include a narrativesufficiently detailed to explain how the nominee meets eligibility criteria.
