NAMI Basics is an education programfor parents and caregivers of
children and adolescentsliving with mental illness that provides resources and
practical insights forfamilies. The NAMI Basics course is taught by trained parents
who have lived similar experienceswith their own children. It is not necessary that the child has a specificdiagnosis, caregivers who suspect their child is experiencing symptoms ofmental illness can also benefit from the course as they begin to navigate theevaluation and treatment process.
