Preparing for transition from one grade to another, from one school to another or from schoolto postsecondary, college or vocational programs is a critical priority for studentswith IEPs. Join SECAC for an in-depth session on transition across all ages andlevels. Kathy Land, Supervisor with Service Coordination, Inc. a Coordinationof Community Services Provider in Howard County will present on the Governor’sTransitioning Youth Initiative process which covers the transition from schoolto adult services with the Developmental Disabilities Administration. Staff fromHCPSS including Shannon Roberts, Nicole Gieger and Rebecca Hurlock will presenton transition from Pre-K-K; Elizabeth Augustin, Chrissy Hoelscher and YvonneCox will address transition from elementary to middle school; Missie Baxter andColleen Garrant will address transition from middle to high school.
