Presented by Ellen A. Callegary,Esq. This presentation will focus on legal and ethical considerations forhealth care decision making for vulnerable adults, including those withcognitive disabilities. Participants will learn about the currently availablealternatives to guardianship, such as advance health care directives, advancedirectives for mental health treatment, and surrogate decisionmaking; when guardianship of the person, guardianship of the property,power of attorney, or other alternatives, are appropriate.
