On March 24 SECAC and the Howard County Autism Society are co-hosting a special education form for the 2020 Board of Education Candidates. It will run from 7pm to 9pm at Howard Community College, Duncan Hall, Room DH100 (Kittleman multi-purpose room). Please arrive by 6:45pm to ensure a 7pm start to the forum.
On May 6th SECAC will host their 21st Annual Awards and Recognition Night. It will be at Mt. Hebron HS from 7-9pm.

Under law, Howard County Special Education Citizens Advisory Committee (SECAC) advises the school system on the needs of students with disabilities. We collaborate with other community disability advocacy groups to improve special education and the lives of our students in Howard County, MD.
There are approximately 56,000 students in our district and 11% of them are students with special needs who have an IEP or 504.
