STUDENT DRUG USE: A CRISIS WE CAN’T IGNORE

Students, parents/guardians, staff and community members areinvited to learn about the substance abuse crisis that is directly impactingour schools and community. Superintendent Dr. Michael J. Martirano will sharelocal and national data about student substance use and behavioral health needsthat illustrate the frightening realities our youth are facing, and how HCPSSis responding to those needs. Attendees will select a breakout sessions led byHCPSS staff and community health partners. Options include:

 • Designer Drugs

•  Opioids, Fentanyland Other Drugs: Can You Tell the Difference?

• How to Treat the Effects of Cannabis/Marijuana Use

• Skills-Based Health Education

• Spring Cleaning: From Fiction to Fact for Today’s Youth!

• Understanding Vaping and How to Talk to

• Medical Marijuana
