This session will highlight the basics of social media.Included will be a definition of social media, benefits and dangers of usingsocial media, identification of social media platforms, ranking of safetylevels of social media platforms, and what to look for when choosing to use asocial media platform.

Social Media Settings: Setting Up for Safety

This session will highlight safety features within socialmedia apps. Included will be a definition of social media dangers (predators,cyberbullying, and scams) and how-to on selecting and setting privacy settings,as well as other safety features available across social media platforms.

This session will review the definitions of predators,cyberbullying, and scams. Included will be strategies for identifying andaddressing these dangers (as well as promoting independence in this).
