PLANNING FOR EMERGENCIES: WHAT YOU NEED TO DO TO PREPARE nFriday, October 19, 2018 10am-12pmnNonProfit Collaborative of Howard County n9770 Patuxent Woods Drive nColumbia, MDnJoin us for a three-part speaker series detailing disability history, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and emergency preparedness. Presenter JoAnne Knapp has worked with people with physical, sensory, mental health, and cognitive and/or intellectual disabilities for over 30 years, and for the last 14 years has specialized in Emergency Preparedness for People with Functional Needs. She has developed policies and programs in coordination with MEMA, the Governor’s Office on Homeland Security, relevant state agencies, MD counties and non-profit and private organizations. nCost: $20 per person per session or $50 for all three sessions.
