It can be difficult for students to learn what accommodations are available at work or school, how to talk about their disability, and how to speak up for themselves. This free four session training, which includes the use of Lifecourse Tools, will help parents navigate this process and develop a unique Transition Action Plan with their child. During this training, parentsn-Gain an understanding of the accommodations and assistance available for young adults with hidden disabilitiesn-Learn about government agencies that can provide supports and services for students such as DORS, Job Centers, etc.n-Complete homework individualized to their childn-Develop a custom Transition Action PlannSession 1 Your Child & The Disability Pride FrameworknSession 2 Transition PlanningnSession 3 College & Career ReadinessnSession 4* Social Emotional Skills (with a separate youth training)nWho should apply:nParents of children who are transition-aged (14-21) who have an IEP or 504nfor a hidden disability or a disability that you cannot readily see.
